why do I need to visit my Dentist?

  • Regular checkups and minor treatments will keep your teeth and gums in good health without incurring great expense. Delaying or avoiding regular appointments can store up problems for the future which may be complex and costly to put right.
  • Your Dentist keeps a record of his or her findings, x-rays and previous treatments and is best placed to continue monitoring for changes which might need attention before they become serious. He or she is able to recognise the early signs and symptoms of oral diseases including mouth cancer. For these reasons we recommend you continue seeing your existing dentist for check-ups on a regular basis.
  • We regularly refer patients to see their Dentist following a screening examination. It is essential that natural teeth and gums are in good health for a successful denture treatment outcome.
  • If you do not have a Dentist we can give you a referral and arrange an appointment. If you feel anxious about visiting we can make arrangement with a Dentist who will put you at ease and can treat you with little or no pain.
